About the college:

Pannalal Girdharlal Dayanand Anglo-Vedic (PGDAV) College is an institution of academic excellence, founded in 1957 by DAV College Managing Society and is a constituent unit of University of Delhi, a premier central university of the country. Our college is a co- educational, NAAC accredited institution. We train and empower the youth of India to carve out a niche in a global competitive environment. Over the years the college has built up an impressive array of academic facilities. With the state-of- the art infrastructure, the college meets all requirements of the individual students and making their college life intellectually engaging and a fulfilling experience in all respects.

The college is located in Nehru Nagar. The nearest metro station is Vinobhapuri, which is at a walking distance from the college. The college is 11 kms away from New Delhi Railway Station while it is 22 kms away from IGI airport, Delhi.

About Conference

The Department of Mathematics, P.G.D.A.V. College is organizing a national conference entitled “National Conference on Advances in Mathematical Analysis and its Applications” (NCAMAA-2019) during November 8-10, 2019.

The objective of the conference is to bring together mathematicians from all around the country working in the area of mathematical analysis and to provide a platform to build future collaborative activities. The conclusions will provide a direction towards further research and development in the areas of mathematical analysis and its applications in other branches of science, engineering and technology such as bio-technology and computer sciences. The conference shall serve as a forum for fruitful deliberations and exchange of ideas to a wide audience of distinguished professors and research scholars

  • Matrix and Fourier analysis
  • Analysis in the theory of operators
  • Spectral analysis of non-self adjoint operators
  • Harmonic analysis
  • Operator spaces and their applications
  • C*-algebras and Von Neumann algebras

  • Toepliz and Hankel Operators
  • Analysis in the theory of wavelets and dynamical systems
  • Analysis in computer programming and engineering sciences
  • Operator theoretical methods in factorization theory and integrable systems
  • Applications to frame theory, boundary value problems, boundary integral methods, explicit solutions, singularities, fractal analysis

In addition, there would be a special session for panel discussion on "Challenges: Mathematics in Higher Education". The purpose of this session is to cater the need of reformations in teaching methodologies in mathematics at higher education.
